Making Magic again on AGT

Here is the illusion I helped to stage with Puck for his Semi-final round on AGT this week. Everything came off with out a hitch. Special thanks to John Farrell and Jim Steinmeyer for their help in making this illusion perfect for TV....and a big thanks to Russell Norman for shooting it so beautifully. A huge thank you to my wife Jenny for being a lovely on stage assistant for Puck and for keeping me sane during the long hours of getting this ready for the stage....oh yeah...and Puck did good too...lol!!!!

New Trick to be Released Soon!

This is the latest release from A&P magic. The trick is based around the premise of the 20th Century Silk routine. It is a terrific opener for a stage show as it features a musical opening, as well as a follow up section that revolves around a pseudo explanation of how you performed the first part of the trick. This portion of the routine involves audience interaction and comedy climaxing in a beautiful and visual appearance of an odd colored silk being tossed into the air and visually tying itself on to the other two silks. It is the perfect opener as it involves quick visual magic, comedy and then an interactive interlude that allows your personality to shine. Then a killer finale. This has tons of entertainment value.

Available from your favorite magic dealer by the end of June.

Watch the video and pre-order below! $175.00 for the complete kit!
All Pre-orders are free shipping until the official release at the end of June!!!

Stand Up Guys Lecture Highlight

Puck and I did a show and lecture at Denny and Lee's that broke the all time 20 year attendance record. The show was full of laughs, roasts and inside jokes from the world of magic, especially for those who frequent the Denny and Lee Magic Studio in Baltimore. The first half of the evening was a show featuring parody songs, videos and live skits, and the second half featured Puck and myself lecturing on some of our tricks we have released to the magic community.

Here is the opening number of the show.....

Stand Up Guys

Stand Up Guys - a show and lecture by Scott Alexander and Puck

Scott Alexander & Puck have put together a once in a lifetime lecture, the likes of which has never been seen in the world of magic! Best described as Saturday Night Live meets a magic lecture, it will be an evening of magic performance and teaching alongside magic parody, comedy and off the cuff, “no holds barred” commentary.

Scott Alexander is a finalist from last season of America’s Got Talent. He performed at Caesars Palace for 7 years, with both an illusion show and as a stand up performer. He has been a featured guest on Oprah, and appeared on and designed magic for the Sci-Fi Channel. He is constantly busy performing for casinos, corporate events, and on cruise ships worldwide.

Puck is an award winning magician and performer who is a regular at New York City’s Monday Night Magic and a favorite at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. He also continues to perform his magic for cruise lines and public events all over the country. Both Scott and Puck both got their real-world know-how as assistants in the Denny and Lee show, benefiting from years of working with and studying under Denny.

Scott and Puck, creators of magic for real-world performers, present material that is both “stage ready” but also highly adaptable for your own performance style. They’ll be lecturing on their marketed effects, as well as pieces that you can put together and perform on your own.

Want some info on putting out your own projects into the magic marketplace? Collaborating with another performer? All of these questions can be answered and discussed in detail!

Interested in the process of auditioning for America’s Got Talent? Maybe thinking of doing it yourself? Scott and Puck will happily host a question and answer about their experiences getting from the preliminary audition all the way to the all the way to the finals. This will be info that you can only get from an insider!

This lecture has been created especially for the Denny & Lee audience! They’ll cover specific tricks, discuss performance theories and technique, talk about magic in the marketplace, magic on a reality tv show and even throw in a live, once in a lifetime show of tricks, parodies, comedy and laughter.

THIS IS AN EVENT THAT MUST NOT BE MISSED!
